The resignation of President Milorad Dodik and increasing voter fatigue have recently been setbacks for the secessionist forces in the Republika Srpska. However, shifting international alignments could ultimately allow Dodik to succeed. The October 2026 elections will therefore be pivotal for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
